La classe 1C della Scuola Secondaria Durazzo ha visitato la mostra dedicata ad Andy Warhol e si è lasciata ispirare…

Andy Warhol, il grande artista della pop art, con le sue opere ci ha incantati, ci ha fornito alcune idee di lavoro e ci ha interessati in modo smisurato.

Il giorno della mostra, dopo averla visitata, abbiamo svolto un laboratorio incentrato sulla tecnica della serigrafia utilizzata da Warhol.
Tra le informazioni sull’artista raccolte con la professoressa di inglese, la cosa che ci ha incuriosito di più è stata la storia dei suoi gatti grazie alla quale abbiamo preso spunto per descrivere dettagliatamente in inglese un gatto, successivamente abbiamo disegnato i gatti di Warhol con l’insegnate di arte e infine abbiamo inventato una storia in lingua inglese interpretata a modo nostro.

Andy’s cats –  25 cats named  Sam and one blue pussy

Andy is sad and lonely.
He is often ill and misses school.
At home he passes his day drawing, painting and cutting out designs.
Hester enters his life and the story begins.
Hester is cute and sweet and they become best friends.
She has got  beautiful blue eyes and she is very playful.
He thinks that she looks lonely so he brings Sam home to keep her company.
They get on well, so another Sam arrives.
The years pass and the family gets bigger and bigger.
Now there are 25 cats all named Sam and the lovely Hester.
Andy designs each of them in different colours showing their personality.

Cats description

A cat has got tall pointy ears and long wiskers.
Its body is long and it has got a long tail.
A cat has got soft fur; the fur may be short or long.
A cat has got bright eyes; they are usually green, but some cats have blue eyes.
Most cats have got noses, but some have got flat noses.
A cat is like a baby: it eats and sleeps.
A cat is like a child because it plays.
A cat hunts and pounces on his pray. [balza]
When a cat is happy, it purrs; when it is hungry it hisses and growls. [fa le fusa, soffia, ringhia]
When it is scared, its fur stands up and its tail puffs up. [spaventato, solleva]
